We\u2019ll also see a clash between No. 2 and No. 3 in the heavyweight division, Ciryl Gane and Alexander Volkov.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this post, we\u2019re going to analyze the most interesting UFC 310 fights before sharing our top picks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"can-kai-asakura-claim-gold-on-his-ufc-debut\">Can Kai Asakura Claim Gold on His UFC Debut?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><thead><tr><th>Fighter<\/th><th>Odds<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>Alexandre Pantoja<\/td><td>-260<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Kai Asakura<\/td><td>+220<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>December 7 is when Kai Asakura (21-4) will make his UFC debut. That wouldn\u2019t be strange if his debut wasn\u2019t in the title fight with defending champion Alexandre Pantoja (28-5). So why did Dana White and the <a href=\"https:\/\/dev.offshoresportsbooks.com\/ufc\/\">Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC)<\/a> do this?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Asakura is a superstar in Japan, where he was a Rizin Bantamweight champ on three separate occasions. He\u2019s a hell of a striker who\u2019s got 13 wins by KO\/TKO in his portfolio. When it comes to his losses, three of them happened by that method.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Full Fight | \u671d\u5009\u6d77 vs. \u30de\u30cd\u30eb\u30fb\u30b1\u30a4\u30d7 2 \/ Kai Asakura vs. Manel Kape 2 - RIZIN.20\" width=\"900\" height=\"506\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/rhQeXZ39Gw0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>One of those was against Manel Kape in a Rizin title fight, after which Kape moved back to the UFC only to lose to Pantoja on his second debut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another KO\/TKO loss suffered by Asakura happened against Kyoji Horiguchi, who\u2019s been Pantoja\u2019s training partner for the past couple of months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re not saying we\u2019re 100% confident Pantoja will knock him out, but we do think \u201cThe Cannibal\u201d has what it takes to keep the UFC Flyweight title in his possession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"shavkat-rakhmonov-or-ian-machado-garry-wholl-suffer-their-first-ever-loss\">Shavkat Rakhmonov or Ian Machado Garry \u2013 Who\u2019ll Suffer Their First-Ever Loss?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><thead><tr><th>Fighter<\/th><th>Odds<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>Shavkat Rakhmonov<\/td><td>-350<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Ian Machado Garry<\/td><td>+285<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Looking at the Rakhmonov vs. Garry odds, you\u2019d think the Kazakh fighter is levels above his Irish opponent. But we think the two are actually pretty similar, both in terms of skills and experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rakhmonov is 18-0, with six wins in the UFC, while Garry is 15-0 overall and 8-0 in the UFC. In his last three fights, Rakhmonov defeated Neil Magny, Geoff Neal, and 40-year-old Stephen Thompson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"UFC 310 Countdown - Rakhmonov vs Machado Garry\" width=\"900\" height=\"506\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/EBuiZj5Jzlc?start=2&#038;feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Garry\u2019s last three fights saw him defeat Magny and Neal, as well as Michael Page, who\u2019s probably better than any opponent Rakhmonov\u2019s faced so far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The only major difference between these two is that Rakhmonov has a 100% finish rate \u2013 8 wins by KO\/TKO and 10 by submission. Meanwhile, Garry has 7 wins by KO\/TKO, 1 by submission, and 7 by decision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For all these reasons, we think Rakhmonov vs. Garry really is a coin toss, but given that there\u2019s better value on the Irishman, we\u2019re going to back him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"ciryl-gane-likes-slaying-giants-like-alexander-volkov\">Ciryl Gane Likes Slaying Giants Like Alexander Volkov<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><thead><tr><th>Fighter<\/th><th>Odds<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>Ciryl Gane<\/td><td>-340<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Alexander Volkov<\/td><td>+280<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Alexander Volkov is 6\u20197, which makes him three inches taller than Ciryl Gane. However, he\u2019s got a one-inch shorter reach than the Frenchman. This means that \u201cBon Gamin\u201d can definitely reach his head.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And our prediction is that he\u2019ll do it. He hasn\u2019t done much lately, making MMA fans think he\u2019s past his prime. But he\u2019s only 33, which in the UFC universe, is still pretty young.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He was supposed to fight Nick Diaz at UFC 310, but he pulled out of the fight a few weeks before the event. To save the day, Themba Gorimbo stepped in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He\u2019s only had a few weeks to prepare for the fight, but he\u2019s probably in very good shape given that his last fight happened in October. He rag-dolled Niko Price in that fight, which is probably why he\u2019s a -150 favorite against Luque. Still, if there\u2019s a guy who can upset those odds, it\u2019s \u201cThe Silent Assassin.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"ufc-310-predictions-for-remaining-fights\">UFC 310 Predictions for Remaining Fights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bryce Mitchell (-700) vs. Kron Gracie (+500) \u2013 Mitchell<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Nate Landwehr (-141) vs. Choi Doo-ho (+121) \u2013 Landwehr<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dominick Reyes (-330) vs. Anthony Smith (+270) \u2013 Reyes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Movsar Evloev (-242) vs. Aljamain Sterling (+207) \u2013 Evloev<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Randy Brown (+199) vs. Bryan Battle (-234) \u2013 Battle<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Chris Weidman (-115) vs. Eryk Anders (-105) \u2013 Weidman<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cody Durden (+125) vs. Joshua Van (-145) \u2013 Van<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clay Guida (+700) vs. Chase Hooper (-1000) \u2013 Hooper<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Michael Chiesa (+105) vs. Max Griffin (-125) \u2013 Griffin<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Kennedy Nzechukwu (-585) vs. Lukasz Brzeski (+410) \u2013 Nzechukwu<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>As you can see, most of our UFC 310 picks are favorites, the only exception being Luque who we feel could stage an upset. We don\u2019t think there will be too many other upsets, but we do call for caution for a couple of fights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Bryce Mitchell vs. Kron Gracie fight looks like a potential parlay buster. Mitchell\u2019s last fight saw him end up trembling on the floor after a brutal KO by Emmett. Luckily for him, Kron Gracie is a horrible boxer, but he\u2019s been trained by Nate Diaz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Plus, if the fight goes to the ground, his BJJ genes might bring him a submission win.
