They won a thrilling overtime matchup against New Mexico, getting a huge game from Christian Cook, who dropped 27 points, hit six threes, and went 6-9 from deep.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To upset the Longhorns, though, they will need Cook to replicate that performance, plus get some help. If Zawdie Jackson can have a big game alongside Cook, that would be an ideal starting point. Jackson shoots 39.1% from three and has a season-high of 24 points. The Aggies hope Cook and Jackson can get hot from three at the same time and give the Longhorns a scare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"longhorns-take-out-frustration-on-aggies\">Longhorns Take out Frustration on Aggies<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Texas had a tough loss last time out to two-time defending national champions UConn. The Longhorns have been good this season, beating some strong opponents, including Syracuse, Saint Joseph&#8217;s, and NC State. Tre Johnson has been an electric freshman for Texas, scoring 21.1 points per game and ranking in the top-15 in the nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Johnson doesn&#8217;t have to do it alone, though, as he has some solid support. Arthur Kaluma controls the paint, scoring 14.3 PPG, and leads the team in rebounding with 8.1 RPG.
