The Vikings will try to use home field advantage to continue their climb to the top of the <strong>NFC<\/strong> after a slow start to the season. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Vikings currently sit atop the <strong>NFC North Division<\/strong> with a 4-2-1 record, but the Packers, Bears, and Lions are on right on their tail. The Saints 5-1 record has them atop the NFC South Division, but just one game ahead of the Carolina Panthers.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/offshoresportsbooks.com\/review\/mybookie\/\"><strong>The New Orleans Saints are +1 at the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday Night.<\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"brees-continues-to-make-history\"><b>Brees Continues To Make History<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">New Orleans Saints quarterback <strong>Drew Brees<\/strong> continues to make history with his terrific play. Brees recently became the NFL\u2019s all time passing yards leader, and also threw his 500th career touchdown last weekend. Brees has thrown 13 touchdown passes and no interceptions so far this season, while completing an impressive 77% of his passes.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/T\/ThomMi05.htm\"> Wide receiver <strong>Michael Thomas<\/strong> leads the team with 53 receptions for 588 yards.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The <strong>Saints<\/strong> defense is starting to play better, but they still lack the consistency needed to contend for a Super Bowl title. New Orleans has given up over 27 points per game this season, which is near the bottom of the league. Cameron Jordan leads the <strong>Saints<\/strong> with five sacks this season, but New Orleans has forced just five turnovers through their first seven games. The Saints defense will be tested in this game.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"vikings-need-a-running-game\"><b>Vikings Need A Running Game<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The <strong>Minnesota Vikings<\/strong> have one of the best passing attacks in the NFL, but they are still looking for more rushing yards. The <strong>Vikings<\/strong> are averaging just 87.4 rushing yards per game, which is one of the worst averages in football. Latavius Murray has taken over the starting role with Dalvin Cook remaining out of the lineup with a hamstring issue. <strong>Adam Thielen<\/strong> has been the top receiver in the NFL this season, but the Vikings need balance on offense against the Saints.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/story\/_\/id\/25075088\/everson-griffen-apologizes-says-happy-back-minnesota-vikings\">Defensive end <strong>Everson Griffen<\/strong> is expected to be back in the lineup for the Vikings after missing several weeks with mental health issues.<\/a> The Vikings have only given up 23.6 points per game this season, but that is well off of their pace from a season ago. The lack of a running game has hurt the <strong>Vikings<\/strong> offense, despite a monster season from Adam Thielen. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Drew Brees and the <strong>Saints<\/strong> offense can score points in bunches, and they should have a big night in this game.
