As a result, Elliott will be the highest-paid NFL\nplayer with a six-year contract for the Cowboys.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Elliott\nGets $90-million Contract with Dallas Cowboys \n<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ezekiel Elliott<\/strong> has signed a new contract with the <strong>Dallas Cowboys <\/strong>and this puts him right on time for the upcoming NFL season. Elliott is a highly-praised running back who has been courted by more than a single team for the upcoming NFL 19 season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, Elliott finally agreed to sign a $90-million deal, which will buy him <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/story\/_\/id\/27531272\/elliott-cowboys-6-year-extension\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">a six-year extension<\/a> into the Dallas Cowboys and also make him the most expensive player in the NFL to date. With the legal work behind their backs, the Dallas Cowboys will be facing the New York Giants on Sunday.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The terms of the deal are certainly something that Elliott needs specifically. He will be able to get<strong> $50 million<\/strong> right off the bat, with an average payout of $15 million per year. Winning a couple of NFL titles, Elliot initially made demands to be paid better than his $3.9 million rookie contract in 2019 and the upcoming <strong>$9.1 million<\/strong> one in <strong>2020<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His\nbid has apparently succeeded because <strong>Jerry Jones<\/strong>, owner of the\nDallas Cowboys, appeared on CNBC to gleefully say that he felt $100\nmillion lighter on that morning. Jones acknowledged the qualities of\nthe player, saying that Elliott was the Cowboys was indeed their best\nplayer. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Jones\nand Elliott Butting Heads<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Jones\nwasn&#8217;t initially pleased with Elliott&#8217;s ambition to win better buck\nright away. However, the owner of the Dallas Cowboys wasn&#8217;t too much\nof a hard-liner to oppose Zeke, as he referred to Elliott, to the\npoint that was disruptive to the team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What Jones wanted was for <a href=\"https:\/\/ftw.usatoday.com\/2019\/08\/nfl-cowboys-ezekiel-elliott-dak-prescott-amari-cooper-contract\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">Elliott to honor the original rookie contract<\/a>. Yet, this seems to have been negotiated with the help of Elliott&#8217;s manager Rocky Arceneaux in favor of the star player. As a result, the Cowboys are looking particularly strong in the upcoming season and they are fully prepared to take on the New York Giants.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The news about the deal quickly took social media by storm with Elliot posting on his social media right away to confirm.. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Others\nbegan piling on and congratulating Elliott. Negotiating good pay\nterms for rookies in most American sports is difficult. Many players\nhave tried, but to no avail.
