Golden Nugget in NJ Stars Accepting NBA Bets \n<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

New Jersey<\/strong> has given the Golden Nugget, the famous Atlantic City-based casino, rights to accept bets on <\/a>National Basketball Association (NBA)<\/a><\/strong> games<\/a>. As a result, Tilman Fertitta<\/strong>, the billionaire who owns the casino, will have all the more reason to want the Houston Rockets <\/strong>to win, but not really be able to place bets at his property.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr.\nFertitta owns the popular NBA franchise that went on to compete\nagainst the Golden State Warriors<\/strong> in the 2018\/2019 NBA Season,\nlosing several close games and falling out the race. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With New\nJersey legalizing sports betting in May 2018, the Golden Nugget\ncasino has finally managed to win a license of its own. Part of the\nreason why the Nugget had to wait was because of Mr. Fertitta dual\nownership of the team and gaming venue. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However,\nthings have changed, and today patrons at the Golden Nugget would be\nable to enjoy a sports bet on NBA games so long as it doesn’t involve\nthe Rockets. This is a great improvement in streamlining the overall\nregulations, with similar bills already passed in Nevada<\/strong> and\nMississippi<\/strong>. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr.\nFertitta’s brand is allowed to accept wagers in those states so long\nas they don’t involve Rocket games. However, sports bettors may still\nfind reluctant to visit the Golden Nugget, as the casino wouldn’t be\nable to accept some important wagers. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this\nbeing said, it’s unlikely that a bettor would travel between two\nlocations to place a wager on the same day. The discomfort of having\nto be physically in a location already has taken enough toil on the\nindustry. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Commenting\non these developments, Steve Scheinthal<\/strong>, a counsel for the\nparent company that owns the Golden Nugget, said that it was like\ngoing into a box ring with one hand tied behind one’s back.
