In the meantime, let\u2019s take <strong>a look at the top stories<\/strong> coming out of the NFL during the week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"suspension-upheld\">Suspension Upheld<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The NFL\u2019s indefinite suspension of Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett <strong>was upheld on appeal this week<\/strong>. That guarantees that he will sit out for the rest of the 2019 season without pay. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During his appeal, Garrett claimed that Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph used a racial slur during last Thursday\u2019s game that caused him to lash out violently. However, Rudolph<strong> denied that claim<\/strong>, and there has been no evidence to back it up. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Browns continue to stand by Garrett, who will need to <strong>meet with the commissioner\u2019s office <\/strong>before he\u2019s reinstated sometime after the end of the season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, Pittsburgh center Maurkice Pouncey had his suspension <strong>reduced from three games to two <\/strong>on appeal, while Cleveland\u2019s Larry Ogunjobi had his single-game suspension upheld.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"youre-done\">You\u2019re Done<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Dolphins running back Mark Walton was arrested Tuesday morning after allegedly pushing a pregnant woman into a wall and punching her. Miami was<strong> quick to waive him<\/strong> soon after finding out about the arrest. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Walton was in the middle of serving a four-game suspension for violating the league\u2019s conduct and substance abuse policy. He was<strong> arrested three times between January and March<\/strong> while a member of the Bengals, who released him because of his continued legal trouble. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"hes-our-guy\">He\u2019s Our Guy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This has been a rough season for Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky, but head coach Matt Nagy has made it clear that Trubisky is <strong>still the team\u2019s starting quarterback<\/strong>. Whether Trubisky plays this week is uncertain after he suffered a hip pointer during last week\u2019s loss to the Rams. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trubisky says he\u2019s feeling better, and he <strong>is considered day-to-day<\/strong>, but according to Nagy, if Trubisky is healthy, he\u2019ll be starting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"holding-out-hope\">Holding Out Hope<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Lions will be without Matthew Stafford <strong>for a third straight week<\/strong> when Detroit visits Washington on Sunday. However, Stafford is planning on being back at some point this season and hasn\u2019t discussed the possibility of going on injured reserve. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He was a surprise omission from the starting lineup a couple of weeks ago because of<strong> multiple fractures in his back<\/strong>. Even with the Lions barely in the playoff picture at 3-6-1, Stafford says he\u2019s planning to return to the field this season if he\u2019s medically cleared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"no-tests-please\">No Tests, Please<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Jets running back Le\u2019Veon Bell <strong>lashed out against the NFL\u2019s drug-testing policy<\/strong> this week on Twitter, claiming that he\u2019s been \u201crandomly\u201d tested for HGH five times in a 10-week period. He went on to say that he won\u2019t be taking another blood test with \u201cdirty ass needles.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bell\u2019s message was no different when speaking with reporters. According to league rules, Bell or any other player could be tested up to six times in a calendar year and <strong>could be suspended for refusing<\/strong>. He then clarified that he\u2019s fine with urine tests but not blood tests. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of course, Bell <strong>was suspended in 2014 <\/strong>for two games after being charged with a DUI and marijuana possession.
