Due to the outbreak of the coronavirus, much of the talk around the world of football has centred around potential blockbuster moves that we could potentially see over the summer months. In Tuesday\u2019s gossip across Europe, three players have been making the headlines, with Manchester United, City and Real Madrid all looking to make moves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Manchester United and Manchester City are preparing to do\nbattle over a defender playing his football in Germany, while Real Madrid are\ndrawing up an elaborate plan to bring in two huge strikers to the club over the\ncourse of the next two transfer windows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

United & City Chase RB Leipzig Defender<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Manchester United and City are expected to do battle over\nthe summer months when the transfer window re-opens, as both clubs are interested\nin bringing Dayot Upamecano to their club. The big defender has impressed\nthroughout the season so far with RB Leipzig, with his performance against\nTottenham Hotspur in the second leg of the German outfits Champions League win\nlikely to have impressed the Premier League giants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both clubs are expected to trigger his \u00a352.5 million release clause, with Leipzig seemingly resolved to losing the central defender as he enters the final year of his contract with the Red Bull club. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Pep Guardiola are both huge fans of the Frenchman and are hopeful of bringing in a new defender to the club this summer. Solskjaer is also keen on bringing Harry Kane to Old Trafford<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

United\u2019s defence has been improved by the addition of Harry Maguire, but City\u2019s has been hampered this season after losing Vincent Kompany in the summer of 2019<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Citizens have already conceded 31 goals this season, which is more than they have conceded in each of the last two seasons. Both clubs have also been looking at alternatives, but it would appear that Upamecano would be their preferred option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Real Planning Huge Deals<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Real Madrid\u2019s plan to get back to the summit of European\nfootball is likely to be a long-term plan, and it would seem that the Spanish\ngiants have a plan in place in terms of their transfer plan. According to\nreports, Zinedine Zidane is interested in bringing in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Braut\nHaaland over the next two summer transfer windows to strengthen their forward\nline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The reports would indicate that the Spanish giants would\nsign Haaland this season. Real are expected to use Luka Jovic as part of the\ndeal, as the former Eintracht Frankfurt striker has struggled to settle in\nSpain. Haaland only joined Dortmund in the winter window, but both Madrid and\nManchester United are already planning on making huge offers to tempt him away\nfrom the German side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mbappe would appear as more of a long-term plan for Madrid,\nas Real will wait until his contract runs down before making the move. The\n21-year-old has already scored 30 goals in 33 games this season, and was\nexpected to be one of the stars of the European Championships before they were\ncalled off.
