Despite that victory over Barcelona, Liverpool still have a disappointing record against Spanish sides, as they have lost five in eleven games against Spanish opposition.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"madrid-looking-to-complete-job\">Madrid Looking To Complete Job<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Real Madrid did much of the heavy lifting in last week\u2019s first leg, but they will still need a professional display against Liverpool on Wednesday evening. History also suggests that Madrid will be able to see out the tie, as they have gone on to progress in 15 of the 16 games where they have had a first leg advantage of at least two goals. The only exception to that rule came in the 2003-04 season, as they were knocked out by Monaco after winning in Spain 4-2.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Madrid looked very comfortable last week and would have been disappointed that they didn\u2019t extend the advantage that they had when Liverpool where on the ropes. Vinicius scored twice in the win for Madrid, while Karim Benzema also found the next last week. Confidence in the camp will be high coming into the fixture this week, as&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.france24.com\/en\/sport\/20210410-real-madrid-go-top-of-la-liga-after-beating-barcelona-2-1-in-clasico\">Zinedine Zidane\u2019s side beat Barcelona in the league<\/a>&nbsp;in their most recent fixture.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"liverpool-vs-real-madrid-recent-meetings\">Liverpool vs Real Madrid Recent Meetings<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Real Madrid have only visited Anfield on two previous occasions in the Champions League. The results that they have got couldn\u2019t be more contrasting. They won the most recent fixture 3-0 in October 2014, but lost the meeting before that 4-0 in March 2009.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"liverpool-vs-real-madrid-pick\">Liverpool vs Real Madrid Pick<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This tie is finely poised, and could easily go either way on Wednesday night. The fact that there are no fans in attendance could be crucial for Liverpool\u2019s chances.
