However, that shouldn\u2019t diminish the steps that Southgate\u2019s side made throughout the summer, as they performed excellently throughout the competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The standout wins came in the knockout rounds, as they beat Germany in a major tournament for the first time since 1966, while they also recorded their biggest knockout win ever in a major tournament against Ukraine. England also overcame the biggest hurdle that has hindered them since 1966, as they <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uefa.com\/uefaeuro-2020\/news\/026b-12b391b62c24-a88f4434b578-1000--england-2-1-denmark-aet-kane-steers-england-to-the-final\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">won a semi-final against Denmark 2-1<\/a>. World Cup qualification has been straightforward to this point for England, as they have won all three games that they have played. The Three Lions have scored nine goals and have conceded just once, and also look to be in a commanding position with seven games of the group to go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"hungary-looking-for-another-shock-result\">Hungary Looking For Another Shock Result<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite not making it out of their group at the EUROs, Hungary did spring a surprise by the performances that they put in throughout the summer. Few expected them to pick up a single point in the group after they were drawn alongside Germany, France and Portugal. In that respect, they defied expectations, as they claimed very good draws against France and Germany. It could have been so many for Hungary too, as they were on the verge of the knockout rounds, as they led Germany heading into the final ten minutes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, they weren\u2019t able to hold on, which meant that they finished bottom of the group, but they were by no means disgraced. Qualification for next year\u2019s World Cup has started reasonably well for Hungary, as they currently sit in second place in the group after three games. They have won two games, and were also held by Poland. No side has scored more goals than Hungary, but they have conceded four goals in the three games that they have played.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"hungary-vs-england-prediction\">Hungary vs England Prediction<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Hungary shown throughout the summer that they can perform against the very best.
