The Nationals managed just 3 hits and the <strong>Patrick Corbin<\/strong> $140 million contract continues to look like a franchise killer as he allowed 5 ER over 5.0 IP. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was a great start to the second half for Arizona, who went into the break on a 3-game losing streak. Of course the big question after a blowout always remains &#8216;what&#8217;s left in the tank&#8217; for the D&#8217;Backs offense? <strong>Daulton Varsho<\/strong> and <strong>Geraldo Perdomo<\/strong> combined to go 5-9 with 5 runs scored from the 8-9 spots in the Arizona lineup so it was a good night top to bottom. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Zac Gallen<\/strong> laid the blueprint with 7.0 IP allowing just 2 hits on Friday night, and <strong>Madison Bumgarner<\/strong> (5-8, 3.65 ERA) will try to follow it on Saturday. Bumgarner has a 3.15 ERA at home this season compared to being 1-6 with a 4.71 ERA in 9 road starts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Anibal Sanchez<\/strong> (0-1, 7.20 ERA) makes his second start of the season after his return from the 60-Day IL (neck). The right-hander went 5.0 IP allowing 4 ER (2 HR) last Thursday in a 5-4 loss to the Braves.
