The Cubs didn&#8217;t get their first hit until the 7th inning, but a <strong>Patrick Wisdom<\/strong> HR trimmed the gap even though Chicago only had 3 hits total. <strong>Ian Happ<\/strong>, rumored to be traded any day now, had the two other hits for the Cubs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Giants were happy to be back home as they had their 7-game losing streak snapped with Thursday&#8217;s win. San Francisco was swept in series&#8217; against the Dodgers and Diamondbacks, but have now won four straight at Oracle Park. SF is a fairly significant favorite in the offshore odds for game two. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Marcus Stroman<\/strong> (2-5, 4.69 ERA) will try to pitch the Cubs to even up the series on Friday night. He&#8217;s had a solid July after returning from injury, posting a 1.26 ERA in three starts while not picking up a decision. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Cubs had a tough time getting to <strong>Alex Wood<\/strong> on Thursday night, but they should have better success against <strong>Alex Cobb<\/strong> (3-4, 4.26 ERA) in game two.
