Seattle righted the ship with a 3-1 over the Rangers on Tuesday though and still have a solid 4.5 game lead over Baltimore for the final wild card spot so clinching a spot in the postseason is inevitable. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The fact that Seattle is in the playoffs nearly win or lose makes Thursday&#8217;s game hard to handicap. The Mariners likely want to get that final win to officially be in the playoffs, but they&#8217;ve got seven games at home coming up with last place Oakland and Detroit to finish out the year so the M&#8217;s are looking good. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Jon Gray<\/strong> (7-7, 3.64 ERA) makes his penultimate start of the season for Texas. The Rangers have lost five straight Gray starts so he&#8217;s a guy to fade here. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Marco Gonzales<\/strong> (10-15, 4.05 ERA) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/mlb\/player\/splits\/_\/id\/33158\/marco-gonzales\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">gets the ball for Seattle<\/a> trying to bounce out of an 0-3, 4.44 ERA month.
