The big weekend was nice, but now Atlanta is definitely in a letdown spot in the Braves vs Marlins Monday opener. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Atlanta is hot right now, winners of 7 of their last 8 at the most important time of the season. The Marlins also just took 3 of 4 in Milwaukee, no small feat considering the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jsonline.com\/story\/sports\/mlb\/brewers\/2022\/10\/02\/milwaukee-brewers-vs-miami-marlins-score-lineup-game-updates-october-2-2022-freddy-peralta-starts\/8139928001\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> Brewers are trying for the final wild card spot<\/a> in the NL. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Atlanta is 12-4 against Miami this season and would love to get the win on Monday to clinch the NL East, that way they can rest the last two games to prepare for the postseason. Rookie <strong>Bryce Elder<\/strong> (2-3, 2.76 ERA) goes for Atlanta coming off a complete game shutout against Washington. Elder had a 0.44 ERA in three starts in September and has a 1.53 ERA in three outings against the Marlins. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Jesus Luzardo <\/strong>(3-7, 3.53 ERA) makes his last start of the season for the Marlins, allowing 2 ER or less in 4 of 5 starts in September.
