The Louisville Cardinals were home favorites in their first three games this season yet they come to the Maui Invitational on Monday with an 0-3 record. There’s a very good chance that mark gets pushed to 0-4 for the Cardinals as their opponent the Arkansas Razorbacks have climbed to #9 in the country following their 3-0 start. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It’s no moral victory but Louisville might be the best 0-3 team in the country as each of their losses have come by just one point. That being said those were all home defeats too, and the quality of competition (Bellarmine, Wright State, and Appalachian State) aren’t exactly predicted to make the Final 4 this season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Cardinals are getting some nice scoring from El Ellis<\/strong> who has put in 29 points in each of the last two games, but his 24.0 ppg average is more than 1\/3 of what the team scores as a whole (66.0). It’s hard to bank on Ellis shooting the ball well in his first away game of the season and with unfamiliar baskets in Maui. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
