The Beavers (9-3) want this one too though as they lost the LA Bowl last year 24-13 against Utah State and haven&#8217;t had a postseason victory since the 2013 Hawaii Bowl. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"before-betting-on-the-las-vegas-bowl\">Before Betting on the Las Vegas Bowl<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s been a nice turnaround in Corvallis as coach <strong>Jonathan Smith<\/strong> has taken the Beavers to consecutive bowl games, was named the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/awards\/pac-12-coy.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pac-12 co-Coach of the Year<\/a>, and led his team to a 38-34 win over rival Oregon in the regular season finale. Smith was rewarded for his efforts with a $30 million contract extension from his alma mater. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Oregon State&#8217;s success has come with a solid defense and a good running game. RB <strong>Damien Martinez<\/strong> started getting feature back carries October 15th against Washington State and hasn&#8217;t looked back, gaining 100+ yards in six straight games.
