Regardless of what happened last weekend, the AFC South was going to be determined in week 18 when the Titans (7-9) visit the Jaguars (8-8). Nobody would have blamed Jacksonville for laying up considering the situation, but they went all in and dominated Houston 31-3. Tennessee on the other hand fell 27-13 to Dallas for their sixth straight loss. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Jaguars went on a late season run that was kick-started by a 36-22 win in Tennessee in week 14. They’ve followed that up with an impressive 40-34 comeback win over Dallas and have beaten the Jets and Houston on the road. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It has to be considered a success that Jacksonville is staring down a playoff berth in Trevor Lawrence’s<\/strong> second year and coach Doug Pederson’s<\/strong> first. Even with a 1st round exit that is valuable experience, and the Jaguars look headed that way thanks largely in part to Lawrence who had 7 TD passes in wins over the Titans and Cowboys. The Jaguars also have a vastly improving running game led by Travis Etienne, Jr.<\/strong> (also in his first season) as he has 100+ yards in two of the last three<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
