Zhang Weili vs. Yan Xiaonan will serve as the co-main event of UFC 300. This is going to be the first time that two Chinese fighters are fighting for the title – the UFC Women’s strawweight champ Zhang and title contender Yan.

Before Betting on Zhang Weili vs. Yan Xiaonan UFC 300 Fight

Zhang Weili is 24-3 overall in her professional MMA career which started back in 2013. After losing on her debut, she went on to win 21 fights in a row, including two titles fights. She won the title with a TKO win over Jessica Andrade and defended it against Joanna Jedrzejczyk in a bloody battle that was later declared the Fight of the Year by the UFC.

But then, she lost twice in a row to Rose Namajunas. She bounced back onto the winning track with another win over Jedrzejczyk. She won the fight with a spinning backfist which was later awarded the Performance of the Year bonus by the UFC.

The win recommended for her another title fight. This time, she fought Carla Esparza and won by submission. Finally, in her most recent fight, she defended her title against Amanda Lemos. Eight months later, she’s defending her title again. This time, it’s against her compatriot, Yan Xiaonan.

Yan is 17-3 with two of those losses happening in the UFC. First, Carla Esparza beat her by a TKO in 2021. Then, she lost to Marina Rodriguez by a split decision a year later. In late 2022, she ended her losing streak with a majority-decision win over Mackenzie Dern.

In her most recent fight, she KO-ed Jessica Andrade in the first round, which is actually the reason why she got an invite to fight for the title at UFC 300.
