Zlatan Ibrahimovic suffered a nasty injury and according to some sources, he is out for the season, and is in danger to end his career.
Ibrahimovic Injured on Monday
Ibra took a shot at today’s training session, and it appears that his Achilles could be damaged pretty badly. He is currently undergoing various medical tests and scans, as the doctors try to reveal the degree of his injury.
Ibrahimovic already had a similar issue this year, and he missed several matches in January and February, but apparently came back on the pitch without healing properly.
Having in mind that he has 38 years, and that his body isn’t in the perfect condition as it used to be throughout his entire career, the fans of the Devils are in fear that their favorite could be away for permanent.
Milan Revived After Ibra’s Comeback
Rossoneri struggled for a long time, and they even suffered some pretty humiliating defeats this season. Up until the point when Swedish international came from the United States, we could say that the seven-time European champions look mediocre and without both the motivation and quality to compete for some important role in the Italian football.
But as soon as Ibrahimovic appeared in Milan, the euphoria created because of his arrival overwhelmed the entire club and the fans, creating positive momentum.
Milan did lose some events, but had a series of several games with only victories, proving that all the team needed, was a leader. Zlatan, by the way, is one.
Suddenly, all those players who were heavily criticized showed their true face, performing above all the expectations.
His attitude and experience were guiding the team even once he didn’t play. Many are suggesting that his mindset moved the fallen giants, and that the players are slowly learning on how to behave when wearing Milan’s jersey. In eight Serie A games, he scored 3 goals and had one assist, and in two appearances in Coppa Italia he had one hit.
It would be a massive disaster to see Zlatan missing the rest of the campaign.
Serie A to Continue on June 13
According to all the media in Italy, June 13 is the date of the return, with the possibility of pushing the start seven days back, which would give time to all the clubs to prepare as they want. The Government and all the institutions gave a green light to the clubs to start planning their activities and contests.
There are 12 rounds to be played, with Juventus topping the list with one point more than Lazio and nine than Inter who has a game in hand. The Old Lady has 63, with the note that they need to play against Lazio. Atalanta is fourth with 48 points, three more than Roma, who has one more game played.
Napoli is No.6 with 39 points, and Milan has 36 one place behind Carlo Ancelotti’s crew. The team from the south of Italy is holding the last place, which leads to European competitions, and the race between these two sides will be very interesting to watch.
