  • The Commanders held off the Giants on Sunday, winning 21-18, and climbing to 1-1.
  • Cincinnati collapsed late against the Chiefs, falling to 0-2 following their 26-25 loss.
  • These two teams last met on November 22, 2020, in a game that Washington won 20-9.

The Bengals are in danger of falling to 0-3, but should be able to topple the Commanders this week. They’ll lean on a capable offensive attack and home-field advantage to help beat a Washington team that’s fresh off a win.

Before Betting on Commanders vs Bengals

Washington finally got a win against the Giants, after going 2-8-1 against them since 2017. It was yet another close game between the two teams, as both offenses struggled to break out. The Commanders ultimately got the last laugh, taking advantage of New York’s lack of a FG kicker. That being said, winning in such fashion at home against the flailing Giants is hardly encouraging. They need to continue improving to avoid more losses.

An 0-2 start is hardly what the Bengals had imagined when kicking off the season. Their offense is healthier than each of the past two years, but continues to struggle in unexpected ways. A sack that resulted in a fumble and a Chiefs TD was the difference in the game, illustrating how pressing Cincinnati’s offensive line concerns are. Their defense has been solid but failed to stop Kansas City in the 4th. Their o-line remains the top issue.

Commanders vs Bengals Offshore Odds

Washington’s win over the struggling Giants doesn’t provide a ton of clarity into their ability. Their 17-point loss to Tampa Bay in Week 1 is likely to be the more indicative result, though the Commanders should improve on defense as time goes on. They face an uphill battle in this game against Cincinnati, but a win isn’t out of the question. Washington’s pass rush will cause problems for the Bengals, but Cincinnati should ultimately win.
